Color Trends 2026: Cloud Dancer

Another year marks a new batch of color forecasts. The biggest name in the game, Pantone, announced their controversial pick: Cloud Dancer. While Pantone’s selection was certainly the most discussed across the internet, other brands such as Sherwin-Williams also chose colors that are comfortably situated along the beige to white spectrum.

It’s difficult to deny that a neutral palette has broad appeal, especially with regard to interior design. Pure white interiors are visual shorthand for luxury and are used to great effect for retail environments (think Apple and Fendi). Warm beige tones are safe and down-to-earth, often used in hospitality. These colors possess an incredible versatility, so it’s no wonder why we turn to them again and again.

The left half of the image shows a five by five grid of resin samples on a charcoal gray backdrop. The resin samples have different patterns and are varying shades of white. The right side of the image shows four Kuvio dimensional tiles displayed on a white background. Each of the Kuvio tiles has a different finish, but all are white in color.

Unsurprisingly, white Resin Panel décors are persistent crowd-pleasers. Phantom‘s smooth, flat surface is often specified as a backlit feature wall or a bar top, with stunning results. Contrasts in pattern or texture add visual interest to a monochromatic design, so it’s easy to see why textiles like Kauri are also designer favorites. White Kuvio tile finishes also lean into texture, intentionally invoking other materials like marble, linen fabric, and stone.

Cloud Dancer and neutral tints make an excellent base for other colors to pop. Draw attention to décors like Galaxy by installing them in ceiling features or room partitions that create interesting focal points, contrasting with the monochromatic materials used throughout the rest of the space.

What about color?

Prior to Pantone’s announcement, several influential brands had already announced their color forecasts. In addition to neutral beiges, paint manufacturers also leaned into moody tones and subdued hues, such as Behr’s ashy green Hidden Gem and Glidden’s red-brown Warm Mahogany. Even the consumer goods market is making waves, with both Etsy and Ikea announcing vibrant, energetic colors of the year.  It’s safe to say that color is here to stay.

Ten resin samples are arranged in a grid, each one is a different pattern or color. A stone-like Kuvio dimensional tile is positioned at the top of the grid.

No matter your color needs, we have materials that are perfect for your project board. From Luminous color matches to biophilic Natural décors, the possibilities are nearly endless.
