UV BLOCK

UV Block adds a layer of protection to Lumicor panels and embedded décors from fading and yellowing caused by UV rays. This layer diffuses harmful UV rays, and maintains clarity and impact properties for greater than 5 years.

UV Block is recommended any time a Lumicor panel will be installed in a location with UV exposure, such as near a window or under certain lighting conditions.

DECORS
ChemShield is appropriate for all decors in every Lumicor collection. Choose from over 250 decors in an endless number of combinations.

GAUGES
UV Block may be added to any gauge and will slightly increase overall thickness.
• UV Block adds .020" (.508 mm)
to Lumiform
• UV Block adds .003" (.0762 mm) to Lumiclear and Lumiguard.

RESINS
Lumiclear and Lumiguard have inherent properties which makes them resistant to UV damage. However, it may still be appropriate to use UV Block with certain décors that are subject to fading.

Lumiform, however, is much less resistant to UV damage. It’s recommended that you add UV block to all Lumiform applications that will be exposed to UV light.

SIZES
UV Block may be added to these sheet sizes:
• 48" x 96" (1219 x 2438 mm)
• 48" x 120" (1219 x 3048 mm)

FINISHES & ADD-ONS
The application of UV block does not affect the finishes available for a décor. UV Block may be used with Illume, ChemShield, and Opaque add-ons.

FABRICATION
Sheets with ChemShield may be cut, formed, and finished. ChemShield is not applied to the edges so all edges must be protected from chemical exposure.

APPLICATIONS
Use for any application where panels are exposed to UV light. A must for window treatments, light diffusers and fixtures.
